Alex Blenkin. Newcastle, NSW
When I was an au pair it was the most amazing time of my life. I made so many friends from all over the world and had so many awesome experiences during my time in the US. I looked after a 13 year old boy from a family in New Jersey, and built a long-lasting relationship with him as a younger brother. As an Interview Leader, I’m excited to be able to share my experiences with potential au pairs and help them make many new and exciting memories just like I had.

I was a Cultural Care au pair in Boston, Massachusetts, and cared for 3 boys. Upon my return to Australia I worked in the Cultural Care Au Pair office in Sydney for 5 years. I now work as an Interview Leader in the Sunshine Coast. The CCAP program was so beneficial to me so I like to help other au pairs travel. I have a lot of knowledge about the "ins and outs" of being an au pair, and I like to share it.

Deciding to become an au pair was the best and most spontaneous decision of my life. Within three or four weeks of starting my application, I had matched with my amazing family in New York. I stayed with the same family for two years and while doing this I completed my American bucket list while also getting the chance to visit Mexico and Canada. While living in New York and travelling around, I made life long friends from all over the world and I am now so happy to be able to share my experiences with you by being an Interview Leader for Brisbane.

I was an Au Pair in Washington DC for 18 months and cared for three boys. I had the opportunity to travel to 23 different states during my stay, I made great new friends, and above all gained an unmeasurable amount of rewarding and memorable moments with my host family. I was an au pair in 2014. I had an amazing experience with CCAP, my host family and my LCC were lovely. I lived in Connecticut and cared for two children under the age of 2. A month after graduating from high school, I made the move to the States to start my journey as an au pair, and it was the best decision I have ever made. I lived in Seattle, Washington, looking after two boys, 4 & 10 and a girl who was 8. During my year, I had the opportunity to travel around the US, meet the most incredible friends from all over the world, gained another family and made life long memories. Because of the Cultural Care experience, my life has changed for the better and that has spurred me to encourage more people to do the same.

Jackson Carey. Canberra, ACT 
I’m Jackson Carey and I spent 2011 doing a High School Exchange with EF, just south of Detroit, Michigan. I returned to Australia and began working as a Returnee for EF, until moving to Canberra for university and moving across to be an Interview Leader with the Cultural Care program. Through Cultural Care I can continue to relive my memories and the love I have for America. Some of the highlights from my trip were American sport, New York City, and being placed with an amazing family who supported me throughout my time abroad. It was the best year of my life, and I enjoy continuing to share my experience with others.

Deciding to become an au pair in the USA was the best decision I've ever made. I lived in Scarsdale, NY - a short train ride from Manhattan and had the best year of my life. I got to travel America and meet amazing people that have become life long friends. Nadene Bilsborough – Country Program Manager 
Based in the Sydney office, Nadene works to support au pair candidates from the beginning of their application process to the successful completion of their au pair experience. Being a returned au pair herself, and previous CPM for EF High School Exchange, Nadene has extensive knowledge of the au pair program, and the cultural exchange experience in the USA. Nadene holds a Bachelor of Education and has worked in child care centres and schools in various countries. As the Country Program Manager, Nadene oversees all applications and processes. With the highest level of support and professionalism, Nadene ensures that the Cultural Care team provides quality guidance and expertise to all au pairs. 

Katrina Simpson - Regional Manager  
Katrina was an au pair for 1 year, returned to Australia and then went back to the same host family for another 2 years, all with Cultural Care Au Pair. Katrina was eager to become part of the Cultural Care team to share her experience. Katrina's role is to work with prospective au pairs and nurture them through their application process. Katrina holds a Diploma of Business and a Certificate 3 in Children's Services, and has extensive experience working in child care centres. Her own experience as an au pair for 3 years in the USA means that she always aims to deliver excellent support and advice to future au pair’s. Katrina knows what it takes to be successful and recruits only the strongest applicants. Katrina provides the highest level of support and understanding for her applicants and ensures that each au pair is well supported and prepared before, during and after their au pair experience.
