Host Families in the USA
With Cultural Care Au Pair you will be a part of the largest au pair agency in the world and will be connected to the most host families in the USA. American host families are thoroughly screened by their local representatives and every host family must complete an in home interview, provide positive references and sign a contract stating they will abide by the rules and regulations of the au pair program.
We are proud to say that almost 70% of our families are repeat host families with Cultural Care Au Pair. While every family is different and unique, many live near a large city or a suburban town. At least one parent will work full time and the average family has 3 children. Every family is looking for quality, flexible childcare and is interested in learning about a new culture.
The Cultural Care Au Pair Matching Process
The process to find a family is unique at Cultural Care Au Pair. We work with a personalised matching system and have staff members who will match you according to your experience and interests. Once you are matched with a family, you will have the opportunity to review the host family’s application and arrange a time to speak.
If the conversation goes well and both sides wish to accept one another, the match is then finalised. If at any point you feel the family may not be a good fit, you are able to deny the match. We do ask you to keep an open mind on any family, and speak to them to learn more. After you have finalised with a family, we will be in touch with you about the next steps and how to prepare for your year as an au pair.
We do believe our matching process brings a personal touch and helps guarantee more successful matches. It is our goal to help you have the best possible experience abroad and we work hard to find a host family that will be a great fit for you!
